Poem about Pamela Zwhel Burkes Flower Etchings

Pamela Zwhel Burkes Etchings  – My own interpretation

Pamela Zwehl Burkes EtchingsThis duo of floral etchings tell the story
Of the life and death of this flower
Marks and textures create movement in the air
The ground fallen leaves create a windswept mosaic
Leaning fine stems almost bare
Struggling to stand upright
Its blossom fully blown open
The flowers head still stands proud
But it is soon time for the petals to wither
Falling aside like straggling hair
Fallen to the elements and the passing of time
It still appears elegant in death
While still surrounded by the patterned elements
Of the fallen leaves.
