These subtly spaced sections of painting are like a collection of delicate pieces of ornamental jewellery. It seems that the `stemmed` version have dual coloured petalled heads that stoop as snowdrops. The lower flower like leaves are coiled into little fairy like containers with frilled petal edgings, all combining to form an almost `magical circle,` each colour with contrasting and intricately veined pattern formation.

This combination of watercolours in painted makes me realise the difficulties of incorporating such effects in printmaking. I am reminded of the frustration involved in my not being able to line up two plates perfectly accurately and it makes me wish it was easier to be more experimental with colour printing.
